We had a special surprise this afternoon. Mr. Tefft who is Tristan's dad came and taught us all about planes. He had a fascinating PowerPoint and a huge plane that he brought into the classroom. The kids were so excited it was hard to contain them! Someone asked if he could come back next week and fly his plane since it was too windy today : ) The students learned the names of certain parts of an airplane and what they're used for. He was able to display the each particular part on his plane while asking the students questions. At the end he gave all 75 1st graders propellers. We even got to find out that there is a program once children are eight years old to FLY FOR FREE!!
