We got together with our 4th grade buddies in Ms. Carter's room last week. Both classes had just finished studying volcanoes so we did some cooperative learning and created some 3-D volcanoes out of construction paper. The 4th graders helped introduce some new vocabulary words such as conduit and crater. The students all labeled the magma, magma chamber and lava. You can tell by all the smiles it was a highlight for both classes.
The 4th graders came back and helped us write acrostic and rhyming poems on our Mother's Day cards. The students also created bookmarks with special messages for their moms.
